I Got A Signed Photo From Rob ^_^

Posted by Jo-Anne on the August 20th, 2008

Wow! Ok, first of all, let me tell you folks how I got this photo…

The whole weekend after comic con, I was on the internet reading everything about the event and all of Rob’s interviews. It so happened that he mentioned on his MTV interview that he would like to come to a comic convention possibly dressed up as Charlie Chaplin or Spiderman (he has this thing for spandex.. hmmm).

So that Monday, I went to buy a black Spiderman costume and sent to him. I doubt he’ll wear it, but I thought I’d send him a laugh after the shock we inflicted on the cast from 6500 fans screaming and messed up the panel (we could barely hear what Rob says because everytime he tries to speak, people would scream). I had a feeling they totally freaked out after that. And I also wrote him a letter, nothing mushy mushy, just showed my support and asked him to keep dazzling his fans.. he he =)

So, after weeks of anticipation… my eyes bulged when our receptionist came in my office and handed me the envelope that I’ve been waiting for. I tore that thing apart and drooled at this:

Now I gotta go get a nice frame and it’ll be the highlight on my desk…

Thanks Rob! We Love yah! Cyah at the world premier!! ^_^

BTW… I did mention this site on my letter… so I’m betting he’ll be peeking in here from time to time!

Totally a happy camper,
Jo-Anne

Now that Comic Con is long gone…

Posted by Jo-Anne on the August 5th, 2008

Wow, it got quiet all of a sudden. I’m sure it’s because of Breaking Dawn.  You guys still crying upon reading the dreaded words “The End”? Well don’t fret peeps, we still have about 4, possibly 5, films. So there’s plenty to look forward to. For now, let’s satisfy our Spunk cravings with youtube videos and some of his new pictures popping up like mushrooms all over the ‘net (mmmm I love his gravy shirt!)

So what’s up on our Rob agenda? Wellllllll, the movie premier of course! Inside news told me that our yummy-licious Rob won’t be in Rhode Island for the “How To Be” film fest (he’s “supposedly” filming - don’t know ‘what’ though), so I didn’t bother booking a flight. I’ll stash my cash for the much anticipated Twilight premier, knowing that the tickets would probably cost more than a much wanted - authentic- Louis Vuitton purse. Uggh!

Just today I received 3 emails, all asking about the premier.. even though it’s like not gonna happen for another 4 months. But still, knowing that there’s fans out there getting hyped about camping out… again.. haha! Well we’re not really sure if there’s a camp out, but we will definitely be there, rain or shine, right in front of the barricade!

I’ll be emailing those that wants to come along, and a couple of new peeps that weren’t with us at Comic Con, but will join us at the premier (Viki and Phuong - hello *waves* (= Welcome to RPW ..)

So til then ladies.. Tah tah!

Are you Emerson???

Posted by Jo-Anne on the July 26th, 2008

I promised Alicia that I would write this blog in honor of the camp out…

We were having dinner (Pizza!) in line in front of Hall H when we noticed that there’s this guy wearing a Mugglenet t-shirt. So we were all wondering who it was. Then someone asked me, I think it was Leslie, who the webmaster is for the Mugglenet site, so I said it’s Emerson. Then we all looked at the guy to see if it was him.

Then Alicia stood up and went up to the group and bravely asked “Excuse me, are you Emerson?”. The group burst out laughing. It turned out to be Andrew, who is also with the Mugglenet team. I believe Emerson is from Chicago or somewhere around there.

Anyway, after a few minutes, we all joined the group, which consisted of Andrew, Melissa (Leaky Cauldron) and some of their friends. They were really really nice, humble folks. I was lucky enough to get interviews and a few pics and they even signed my comic con scrapbook (which I’m about to put together)

After chatting with them, it became a joke around our group that “Are You Emerson??” would be the quote of the night, and I told her that I’ll make sure to write about that. Alicia was one brave girl, not just that time, but also at Hard Rock Hotel when we were waiting for the cast. She was the one with enough guts to call out to Stephenie when they were walking at the lobby. Stephenie looked around to see who called out, smiled at us and waved.

So to Alicia… you go girl! Thanks for the good time, and hope to talk to you again.

I have a couple more interviews with Andrew and another long interview with Melissa, but for some reason youtube keeps rejecting it. I will keep trying to upload them and update it here.

Comic Con…… more to come

Posted by tiffany on the July 26th, 2008

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to apologize for my lack of Comic-Con blog. I have the craziest story to tell…

It’s going to take me a bit to get around to it though because I’ve been in and out of the hospital for the last 2 days. Friday morning I got the call that my grandpa was in the hospital. He’s been diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism- which is very critical. Anyway, there are a lot of emotions flying around to say the least.

I had a blast at Comic-Con… I’ll update as soon as I possibly can.

-Tiffany
